EPSCoR and STAC are excited to invite Rhode Island researchers to a special forum to learn more about collaborative research in the Ocean State. This one-day event will present participants with the tools for successful collaborative research and showcase “best practice” projects already underway.

Research that cuts across disciplines and institutions is widely regarded as key to conducting the multidisciplinary projects supported by federal grants and many commercial and foundation funding programs. Collaborative, multi-disciplinary research also is considered to be a successful route for advancing scientific knowledge and moving bench research into commercial application.

Come see why Rhode Island can excel in collaborative research. Talk to experts in getting collaborative projects funded. Hear from scientists who are already taking advantage of Rhode Island’s unique ecosystem to share tools, resources and expertise. Create your own collaborative connections and learn more about the programs already in place in Rhode Island to support collaborative research.

This event will forgo talking heads and perfunctory panels to create an environment that encourages networking and inspires conversation about what’s possible when Rhode Island researchers work more closely together.

Invited participants include members of Rhode Island’s academic and commercial research community and business and community leaders interested in supporting collaborative research in Rhode Island. This event is free, meals and snacks included!
