Compost Facility - I
Work on a new composting facility for the URI Botanic Gardens was started March 21 by workers from Wood River Evergreens of Hope Valley. The project is being sponsored by the URI Master Gardener Foundation which received a $31,500 Champlin Foundations grant to do the project. Wood River Evergreens, owned by Frank Crandall, is donating much of the construction labor and materials. The site lies between two greenhouses.
