Coastal institute Director, Prof. Peter August Delivers Welcoming Remarks to USDA Under Secretary Mark Rey at the Opening of the 2007 Farm Bill Forum in Rhode Island

On October 14th, a specialty Farm Bill Forum was hosted by the College of the Environment and Life Sciences and the Coastal Institute. URI Master Gardeners Getting the Harvest to Hurricane Evacuees

URI gets $3M grant to help protect coastal areas

In what University of Rhode Island leaders describe as a major coup, the school is getting more than $3 million from the National Science Foundation to put that concept to the test, enlisting 25 doctoral students to tackle some of the biggest threats to the state’s coastal environment.
