Typha angustifolia

Narrow-leaf cattail

Large, fast growing perennial plant with long slender green stalks. Flower heads are long brown “sausage” shape atop stalk. Found only in wet areas or standing water. Tolerates moderate salinity. Full sun. Can become aggressively invasive in disturbed areas. Native to RI. 4-6’
